Turbulence Research Facility
- Ground has been broken on the Turbulence Research Facility - Jan 21, 2010!
- See the live webcam!
- Expected completion date of late August, 2010.
- Features of the wind tunnel/facility
- 236'x8'x20' test section
- Top speed of 15 m/s
- Open circuit design due to cost constraints. Screenbox design at front end with honeycomb mesh and five screens.
- Designs have been completed for a Phase II extension to provide a full closed circuit design witha contraction.
- Design includes a 3 meter turntable, and multiple drag-plate insert locations.
